The displays are thematically organized by sun loving or shade to make it easy for you to browse based on your needs.
Spring is loaded with bright colored annuals, topicals hanging baskets and patio. Edible plants range from annual vegetables, perennial herbs, fruiting trees and berry shrubs. Combine your little urban farm by attracting native bees, honeybees and other beneficial insects.

B-Friendly Farm and Gardens is all about Sustainability displays of functional bioswales, a green roof, permeable pavers. Have an Electrical Vehicle? Plug in and re-charge with our solar charging station. Experience and make memories with many photo ops around B-Friendly Historic Farm. Photo areas include the willow tunnel, classic car and tractor, meadows, and even a forest creature! Ask about scheduling a workshop or Sustainability Tour.

Inside, you will find tropical house plants, and small gifts. Our knowledgeable staff are happy to help both new and experienced gardeners.
Meadows are the past and the future. With a key focus on adding habitats throughout the Rochester area landscapes, meadows play a crucial role in this process. Natives are adapted to our area and have the most resilience to common garden pests and conditions. Here you will find natives are the majority of our plant inventory. If you can’t find it at the garden center, we are glad to help order it for you! Natives help support all the wildlife we find in our area and sustains 1000’s of species.
There are a wide variety of birds at the farm, including Barn Swallows that keep mosquitos under control. Take a peak or feed our laying hens at their coop!

The “We Plan…You Plant” landscape design solution was created to help you “Do It Yourself” and install a professional looking landscape. This solution concentrates on one area at a time, so that we may give special attention to that site. You provide information about your property and we will give you a simple design and appropriate plant choices.
