For decades, the traditional suburban lawn has been the default landscape design. A perfectly trimmed green lawn became the symbol of a well-maintained home.

What to do with: Snow Mold?

What is snow mold? Snow mold is a fungal disease that affects turfgrass, usually appearing right after snow melts in early spring. It develops when grass sits under snow cover for long periods, especially when the ground wasn’t frozen yet. The lawn will recover faster if you simply rake it out. The grass will regrow and fill in again from the existing roots, which were not harmed by the fungus.
