-Acer rubrum (Red Maple) pyramid shape with bright red fall foliage
and tolerant of wet soils or Acer saccharum (Sugar Maple) with Orange fall color
-Betula nigra (River Birch) with interesting cinnamon color bark texture, tolerates wet soils, beautiful yellow fall foliage and available as a single stem or multi-trunk tree form
-Gleditsia triancanthos (Sunburst Honey Locust) is a thornless nativar with early yellow foliage fading to green, creating dappled sunlight and bright yellow fall color
-Populus tremoides (Quaking Aspen) is an underused, hardy tree, tolerating moist to dry soils The round green leaves with a silvery underside move gracefully in the wind and turn golden in the fall. The light grey smooth bark is often referred to as a swamp white birch. Planted in clusters it gives the essence of the Adirondacks
-Liriodendron tulipifera (Tulip Poplar) is a stately tall fast growing tree with unusual shape leaves that turn yellow in the fall produce tulip shaped flowers
-Carpinus Carolina ‘Fire King’ (American Hornbeam) is commonly referred to as muscle wood or iron wood due to it’s smooth bark and hard wood. This is natural selection found to grow more quickly than the common tree and has brilliant red orange fall color. This tree will grow to about 20’ and works well in smaller properties near buildings. It tolerates shade and grows in full sun.
-Tilia americana (Littleleaf Linden ‘Redmund’) is a nativar of the American basswood. Very adaptable tree with sweet smelling late spring flowers and bright yellow fall foliage
